To celebrate this day, stop two on our East Coast Saturday takes us North to Queens, NY, and Aqueduct Racetrack. The Derby and Oaks preps roll on as race 7 and race 10 will award 50-25-15-10-5 points towards the starting gate the first weekend in May! First up are the ladies in R7 the $200K Busher Stakes, an eight furlong dirt race with 7 runners. We have three horses eyeing that top spot in the standings with Gin Gin(26 points), Jody's Pride(15 points), and Princess Mayfair(10 points), all having run prep races earlier on the trail. The boys will close out the card in R10 the $300K Gotham Stakes (GIII), an eight furlong dirt race with 13 runners scheduled. In our eyes, the story in this race is the 7, El Grande O who has already picked up 15 derby prep points finishing second in his last two prep races. Can he find that extra gear to get a victory and all but guarantee his spot in the Derby starting gate? Overall, we have five horses who have picked up points and are looking to move up on the board, El Grande O(15 points), Lightline(6 points), Khanate(5 points), Deposition(4 points), and Air Cav(1 point).
Today's card has 10 total races with four stakes races meaning lottsa runners today! The weather is not cooperating today as we will see highs in the mid-40s with rain all day. All races are scheduled on dirt today so we shouldn't see any races moved.
