Lundin Line Best Bets

R1: [9] Annie’s Shenanigan’s

Both of Annie’s Shenanigan’s races have been at Canterbury. On June 25th, she finished 4th out of a field of 11 and on July 16th she finished 2nd by just a 1/2 length to Come On Sweet Pea. In that race, she earned a Speed figure of 63 and beat out Tantima, who finished third but went on to break her maiden in her next race on Aug. 31st. Annie’s Shenanigan’s’ average Speed figure of 60 leads this field of 11 and she also has strong Pace Ratings (1st in finish Pace). The layoff of almost 2 months could bode well her for to break her maiden in today’s race as Jockey Chris Richard’s horses coming off this length layoff, are winning at 40%, ITM at 60% and with a +162% ROI. Jockey Ry Eikleberry over the last 10 days is winning at 37%, ITM at 67% and has a +34% ROI. (M/L 5/2)

R5: Bella Notte Minnesota Distaff Sprint S.

[3] Ready to Runaway

Ready to Runaway was just a neck from winning the Minn. Turf Distaff on July 1st and coming into today’s race with 4 consecutive wins at Canterbury. Her Win on July 25th earned her the 2nd highest Speed figure of career and her Win on Aug 19th in the Glitter Star Stakes was her highest at 105. She leads the field in today’s Bella Notte Minn. Distaff Sprint with an average Speed of 95 and she’s 2nd in both early (88) and middle (87) Pace Ratings and 1st in finish Pace (96). Trainer McLean Robertson with Roimes Chirinos at the reigns are winning at 26% and ITM at 57%. Chirinos over the last 10 days has a +71% ROI. (M/L 3/5)

R6: Blair’s Cove Minnesota Turf S.

[3] Drop of Golden Sun

After two very disappointing races in April, Trainer Tony Rengstorf gave Drop of Golden Sun a 2 month layoff. He came roaring back with a Win on July 11th, a Place finish by a nose on July 1st and, most recently, a Win in the Wally’s Choice Stakes on Aug. 19th at Canterbury. The win on 8/19 earned Drop his highest Speed figure of 105. The two April races cost him in average Speed, but Drop still enters today’s race with an figure of 89 (3rd). The Pace Ratings are very strong and Rengstorf with Jockey Francisco Arrieta over the past year are winning at 31% and ITM at 69%. (M/L 9/2)

R7: Princess Elaine Minnesota Distaff Turf S.

[3] Clickbait

Clickbait is coming off a 2nd place finish on Aug. 19th in the Glitter Star Stakes at Canterbury. The Winner of the Glitter Star S., Ready to Runaway, is the Lundin Line’s Best Bet pick for R5. Prior to that race, Clickbait Won on July 15th at Canterbury. She comes into today’s race with an average Speed figure of 86, which is 2nd in this field of 11 and leading in early (93), middle (96) and finish (92) Pace Ratings. Trainer McLean Robertson with Roimes Chirinos at the reigns are winning at 26% and ITM at 57%. Chirinos over the last 10 days has a +71% ROI. (M/L 5/2)

R10: Crocker Minnesota Sprint S.

[2] Cinco Star

Cinco Star’s last race was a Show finish in the Wally’s Choice Stakes at Canterbury on Aug. 19th. He spent most of the race tracking just off the pace until a valiant effort in the final stretch faded. The winner of that race was Drop of Golden Sun (Lundin Line’s Best Bet for R6). Prior to the Wally’s Choice, Cinco Star was a Winner in the Ralph Strangis Stakes at Canterbury on July 1st. On that day, He beat Drop of Golden Sun by a nose as well as Fireman Oscar (also running in this race). Cinco Star’s win in the Ralph Strangis earned him his highest Speed figure of 103 and he leads today’s field with an average Speed of 96. He also has strong Pace Ratings, including leading in finish pace (94). Once again, we are counting on the strong duo of Mclean and Chirinos to put Cinco Star back in the Winner’s Circle. (M/L 5/2)
