Circa MILLION III // Week 1

It's everyone's favorite time of the year! Summer is coming to an end and we're making our way into autumn. And fall brings us shorter days, cooler weather and the start of the best time of the year for sports! Let's not be coy. We all know what we're talking about. It's the start of the NFL Football season - the most wonderful season of all! We're off to a great start already with Thursday's gem between Tampa Bay and Dallas, regardless if you think there was a dusting of OPI at the end of the game. And we're excited for Sunday with a full day of wings, beers and trash talkin' with friends.

Turtle Sports is back this year for the Circa Sports MILLION III Pro Football Contest! For those that are unfamiliar with the contest, we are picking 5 games each week against the spread for a chance to win the $1 MILLION Dollar First Prize for best record at the end of the season! Although we came up a little short last year, we ended up in the top quarter of all entries and learned a lot. We spent the off season developing new strategies and enhancing our model for picking games. Again, we're not picking winners per se, rather we're picking teams that we think will cover the spread (spreads are published by Circa Sports).

This year, Turtle Sports has three entries in the Circa MILLION contest: Our first entry is based strictly on our Turtle Sports proprietary model. Picks are strictly based on the numbers, folks. Our second entry is based on our round-table discussions on which teams we think will cover the spread. This is a collaborative effort and involves lots of discussion over many, many beers (and maybe a shot or two). The last entry is for the $100,000 BOOBY PRIZE. No, this isn't a wet T-Shirt contest. We're lookin' to cash in on having the worst record at the end of the season. Our picks will be posted here each week, so follow along as we WIN the CIRCA MILLION III Contest and get #InTheMoney!
