Circa Million III // Week 12

Happy Thanksgiving! Today is a day to give thanks for all that we love: friends, family, food, fortune and, of course, football! Yes, it's the start of week 12 of the NFL season and with that comes our Circa Million III picks! Typically we skip the Thursday matchup, however with 3 games on today's lineup (Bears/Lions, Raiders/Cowboys, Bills/Saints), we couldn't pass these up and actually have plays on all of them. More on that later.

Turtle Sports is BACK with our NFL Week 12 Circa Sports Million III Pro Football Contests plays! As always, we'll start off by setting the Thanksgiving table so you have a little background info on what this is all about. Like the three course meal we are about to enjoy, we've got three different entries in this year's Circa contest.

Each week we are picking 5 teams against the spread for a chance to win the $1 Million First Prize for best record at the end of the season. Point spreads for this contest are published Thursday mornings by Circa Sports and remain static through the week.

As noted, we have three different entries in this year's Circa Million contest: Our first entry plays are made using our Turtle Sports proprietary model (our Model Plays). These picks are made strictly by the numbers without discussion. Our Kappin' with Krista plays are base on group discussion and collaboration. These plays are different from our model picks as we handicap each game as a group and attempt to beat our model. Our last entry is for the $100,000 BOOBY PRIZE (Booby Plays). The way you hit this one is by having the worst record at the end of the season, so we're pickin' teams we think won't cover the spread. Okay, you got all that? Let's check out our records after week 11:

Model Plays: 33-21-1

Kappin' with Krista: 28-26-1

Booby Plays: 32-23

Week 11 was tough on our Model (2-3 last week) with our Kappin' plays and Booby plays going 4-1 and 2-3 respectively. And this week we're doing a double pivot with our Kappin' entry and we are trying to cash in on that 3rd quarter winner's prize after all. You gotta be flexible with these contests and get creative when needed. That's how you cash in. When your quarterback starts throwin' lemons, you gotta crack open a bottle of vodka and make Lemon Drops. I think Joe Namath said that.

Anyways, Krista has the Thanksgiving holiday off, so we called in - what we believe is - an almost identical replacement with our very own Mr. Fink to give you our plays for this week. Our model kicked out 4 dogs and a pick 'em (Rams). We're thinking the Bills ether outright lose or just squeak out a win and don't cover the 5.5 spread. We're also thinking the Titans have a bounce back week and keep things close, or even win, against the Patriots. There's plenty more picks for this week and you can find them all below.
