Circa Million III // Week 7

Let's jump right in to week 7 of the NFL season. We're coming off a great week with all of our CIRCA Sports Million III plays and are ready to take the rest of the season head on! In complete honesty, we weren't too certain our our week 6 plays, however the games basically went in our favor and we never should have doubted ourselves. Updated total points and standings after 6 weeks of action are below.

For those of you wondering what the heck is going on, each week we are picking 5 teams against the spread for a chance to win the $1 Million First Prize for best record at the end of the season. Point spreads for this contest are published Thursday mornings by Circa Sports and remain static through the week. A lot can happen between Thursday and when our plays are due (Saturdays at Noon), so you gotta keep your head on a swivel if you wanna pick teams that will cover.

We have three different entries in this year's Circa Million contest: Our first entry plays are made using our Turtle Sports proprietary model. These picks are made strictly by the numbers without discussion. Our Kappin' with Krista plays are base on group discussion and collaboration. These plays are different from our model picks as we handicap each game and try to beat our Turtle Sports model. Our last entry is for the $100,000 BOOBY PRIZE. The way you hit this one is by having the worst record at the end of the season, so we're pickin' teams we think won't cover the spread. Okay, you got all that? Let's check out our records after week six:

Model Plays: 19.5 Points / Tied for 355th Place

Kappin' with Krista: 14.5 Points / Tied for 2660 Place

Booby Plays: 22 Points / Tied for 6th Place Total / Tied for 44th place with 8 Points going in to the 2nd quarter payout

Krista has the weekend off - everyone wish her a Happy Birthday 🎂 - so we'll keep this short and sweet. We're looking for a big performance from Green Bay over the Football Team. We're also loving the Eagles this week. The matchup with the Raiders showed up on our model plays and we love it so much we're using it in our Kappin' with Krista entry as well. Likewise, we're not thinking the Raiders will cover, so they are on our booby list. We're thinking Derrick Henry and the Titans continue to put points up on the board and are going to keep things close with the Chiefs. This blogger actually sees them winning outright if DH continues to steamroll defenses, but that's another story.
