Happy Friday & International π Day! 🥧

Congratulations on making it to the weekend! Why not celebrate with some pie? Just kidding wrong kind of Pi—if you’re in the mood for something sweet and flaky now, go grab a slice and let’s get ready to cash some tickets at the races.

As you look at Race One, you'll notice a connection to the day based on our top picks. We had a rough start to this meet, as none of our top two picks won a single race. However, several of our third and fourth-rated selections did perform well, so hopefully you were able to use that to cash some exotic or vertical tickets yesterday.

One disappointing day won't deter us from playing today’s card or any future cards. Being a horse player can be unpredictable, yet we’ve also experienced some fantastic days, so we’ll keep pushing forward.

Today’s card features eight races, all on dirt, with the exception of one. Notably, all but one of the races are sprints. The weather is warming up, with highs expected to reach the mid-50s and sunny skies ahead. This should lead to a fast track and a great day of racing!

Colonial Downs is a horse racing track in New Kent County, Virginia, known for its high-quality turf racing and seasonal meets. Initially opened in 1997, it features one of the longest turf courses in North America, attracting top thoroughbred competition. After a period of closure, it was revived in 2019 with the introduction of historical horse racing machines, boosting the local economy and revitalizing Virginia’s racing scene. The track hosts major events like the Virginia Derby, drawing fans and bettors from across the country.

Need help pickin' winners? We've got you covered! Our (Always Free) #LundinLine's Top Picks and Best Bets are below in this post. We use them to help narrow the field while putting our tickets together. The first post will be here soon, so don't be late - It's time to get #InTheMoney! 💰🤑

"Pi is the ratio between the circumference of a circle and its diameter. While the idea of pi has been known for nearly 4000 years, accurately calculating it has been something of slightly more recent mathematical development. By 2000 BC, the Egyptians and Babylonians accurately used the constant to build. Mathematicians such as Archimedes, Fibonacci, François Viète, Adriaan van Roomen, and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz all calculated pi by various methods. However, in 1706, Welsh mathematician William Jones introduced the Greek letter π to represent the ratio of a circle's circumference; pi."
