Let's make another stop today and head over to Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, AK. The Kentucky Derby Trail blazes on with another prep race where one lucky three year old will look to carve out a spot in the rankings by taking home a victory in race 10 the Southwest Stakes. Today's prep race will award 20-8-6-4-2 points to the top horse and further clear up who will be running that first weekend in May!
Today's card includes 10 races, three of which are stakes, and as discussed above features race 10 the Southwest Stakes. Running conditions are looking great even though it has been raining as of the writing of this post but with a fast track, Oaklawn is a dirt only course, and temperatures are in the low 50's with cloudy skies it looks like a solid say of racing. Giddy up!
