We are one day closer to celebrating this wonderful countryâs birthday! Since we are not quite there we figured we would celebrate National Camera day in honor of our horse racing aficionado, and astounding photographer, Mr W. I mean who doesnât like a good camera, well I guess we all have one in our had constantly now but that wonât thwart our celebration. Thatâs right, we will find any reason to celebrate and watch the ponies! Today we head to Opeluos, LA where we get the honor or watching the 8 race card from Evangeline Downs. It is not often we get some happy hour horses here on the west coast or for you east coasters some dinner time ponies! The card may not be as large as others we see, size of the card doesnât matter itâs how you use . . . er the quality of it, but that means less stress and more ticket cashinâ!!!
It is going to be very warm in the bayou so make sure you hydrate as well as enjoy those adult beverages. Highs will be in the mid to upper 90âs but should be starting to cool as the card goes on and the sun sets. This should give us a fast track to enjoy starting with the first post at 3:30 pm pacific.
