Why not have one more huge card on the last Saturday of March? Last year we nailed the Lousiana Derby as our best bet and the eventual Eclipse award for Champion 3-year-old Epicenter took home the win. 15 minutes after Turfway Park kicks off, we head to Fair Grounds in the Big Easy where the derby trail continues and one horse will earn their spot in the starting gate along with two others today. We have 7 total stakes races and as mentioned above they are handing out 100 derby prep points to the winner of today's featured race. That's not all as four other horses will grab some points to help move up the board with 40-30-20-10 points. Grabbing some points is better than none and could help your horse squeeze into the gate as well!!! Before we get going let's take a look at all the stakes for today:

We are going to see typical weather for this Derby Prep day as temperatures will be in the mid 80's and clear skies. Although there is a slight chance of rain towards the end of the card and we are hoping it holds off so we can see great running conditions! With a fast track and firm turf you won't want to miss The first post at 10:00 AM Pacific.
