Happy Thursday! We're ready for the weekend and are looking forward to watching this week's Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines South Course. Our #BirdieLine picks for this week are below, but first we're taking a quick look back at last week's Amex Tournament.
We started out last Sunday with high hopes for our guy Tony Finau who was in great position to take home the trophy. A couple of lipped out putts and a wet ball on the back nine sealed his fate; however he managed to end the weekend with another top 5 finish. We missed on Scottie Scheffler as he missed the cut by one stroke.
This week we are going with the young gun Viktor Hovland for our first pick. He’s made the top 20 in 10 of his last 21 starts with only 1 missed cut and 2 wins. We're anticipating that he gets at least a top 10 run this week along with our other pick Xander Schauffele. While Xander hasn’t performed well in the past at the Farmers Open, we are hoping his consistency with 5 of his last 7 tournaments being in the top 5 continues and gets him a opportunity on Sunday.
