About 3 hrs. southeast of the World Headquarters of Turtle Sports (see: The Glass Turtle in Roseville, CA) is the beautiful city of Fresno, located in Central California's San Joaquin Valley. 14 days of racing at the "Big Fresno Fair" will wrap up this year's CA thoroughbred racing on the fair circuit. The actual fair (the state's 5th largest) will run from Oct. 2-14th. Today's card includes eight races with plenty of opportunities to make some money (that you then lose later by betting on the stupid NFL)
