About 3 hrs. southeast of the World Headquarters of Turtle Sports (see: The Glass Turtle in Roseville, CA) is the beautiful city of Fresno, located in Central California's San Joaquin Valley. 14 days of racing at the "Big Fresno Fair" will wrap up this year's CA thoroughbred racing on the fair circuit.
Founded in 1884, The Big Fresno Fair is the 5th largest fair in the State and represents the 21st District Agricultural Association, an entity of the California Department of Food & Agriculture’s (CDFA) Division of Fairs & Expositions. The Big Fresno Fair holds the rare distinction of operating in the same location at the same time of year since its inception. The 2024 Big Fresno Fair, which will be held October 2 - 14, will mark its 140th year.
