We're back on the horse and close to home in Northern California for today's races at Golden Gate Fields. For today's action, we're in for 8 races, lotsa runners, and great running conditions. We know the end is near for this track but we won't let it stop us! There are a lot of owners and trainers fighting to keep this track open or ship all the racing to Cal Expo for more racing of thoroughbreds outside the State Fair. There is not really a featured race today as there is no stakes but looking at race 7 there is some competitive horse in this field and the class rating is very high for this track so take a look and see what you can find there.
The weather is beautiful in the Bay Area today. We will have highs in the low 70s, with sunny skies and no rain in sight. The synthetic all=weather track hosts 7 or 8 races so even if we did have rain, scratches would be minimal. Since it has hasn't rain in a while we are sure the one turf race will be rated firm.
