We're headed back to Florida this morning to watch the thoroughbreds at Gulfstream Park. Today's card includes 9 races, lots of runners and a first post at 10:05 AM Pacific. Running conditions are decent with a fast track and temperatures around 80 with mostly cloudy skies. Race 3, 5 and 8 are running off-turf today, so watch for scratches. Also, there is a slight chance of showers today, but we're thinking the weather will cooperate for a mostly dry day.

Mitigation cuts back from 1 mile + 70 yards after missing by just a head on February 13th on the dirt at Gulfstream - a race in which her gate mate Lady Puchi went on to win her next race. This daughter of HOF sire Into Mischief was also close to breaking her maiden in a $120K Maiden Special Weight back in November at Churchill Downs. Bill Mott keeps her at the $60K Maiden Special Weight level for her turf debut and has Junior Alvarado in the irons.
