Let's check out today's Best Value Horse (BVH). What's our BVH, you ask? Our Best Value Horse is probably not going off as the favorite and is unlikely to to go off with the longest odds. Simply put - our Best Value Horse is a runner our very own @TSDaveW likes with morning line odds around 7-1. This will be a horse that should be competitive, and if it hits, you'll be glad you played it! Odd, of course, change throughout the day, however we're lookin' at Morning Line Odds when making these picks.

Rally Squirrel had a difficult trip in a very talented field on December 5th on the turf at Aqueduct and finished 8th out of 12 and was claimed by Michael Maker for $30K. The 4 year old colt by Mshawish went on to win (by a nose) his first race for Maker, going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Gulfstream on January 8th. While he is moving up from those two races, he did break his maiden in a $40K Mcl on the turf at Aqueduct in November. This will be his first race at 1 mile but it’s a fairly open field with no clear cut morning line favorite. That being said, he will probably need a near perfect trip for a win, but will benefit from the excellent turf skills of Paco Lopez. With Morning Line odds of 10/1, Rally Squirrel (#8) is our Best Value Horse today at Gulfstream Park.
