This 5 year .old mare by The Factor is moving down from a $35K Claiming race at 1 mile on Gulstream Park’s turf on January 22nd. After an awkward start, she raced wide and finished a disappointing 8th/12 for her first start since the summer. She does possess the necessary speed to compete with today’s field and will have the aggressiveness of Irad Ortiz Jr. at the helm. A note of importance is that Memphis Showboat is a straight turf horse. Any wager should be re-considered if the race is taken off turf and trainer William Downing decides to let her run on the Tapeta. With Morning Line odds of 15/1, Memphis Showboat (#9) is today's Best Value Horse at Gulfstream Park.
