Happy Saturday & National Turkey Neck Soup Day! 🦃🥣
We have a huge day of racing ahead as we are worldwide today on the Kentucky Derby prep trail!!! Make sure to get your Turkey Neck Soup on early so you can feast all day while cashing tickets with us. There are three races where 100-50-25-15-10 points will be awarded towards the starting gate on the first Saturday in May! Our first stop today takes us to the Sunshine State where the ponies of Gulfstream Park will be running all day long. The featured race is race 14 The GI Curlin Florida Derby. This is a 9 furlong race on dirt for three years who are all looking to put their name at the top of the leaderboard. The namesake Curlin was the horse of the year in 2007 and 2008 and has continued his racing success as a sire with multiple Eclipse Award winning foals. The ladies are on the Oaks prep trail as well today where in race 11, the Gulfstream Park Oaks. A GII, 8.5 furlong dirt race, 100-50-25-15-10 points will be awarded towards the starting gate on the first Friday in May. Today's card overall has 14 races, 10 stakes, and lottsa runners. The weather is going to cooperate like a typical Florida day. We will have highs in the mid 70s, light winds, but no rain, well as of the writing of this post but it's Florida so who knows? We will have a fast track and firm turf for another great day of racing.
