It's the middle of the week and football is in the air so we thought why not head to a place close to one of the oldest teams in the NFL the Bears. That's right we are headed to Cicero, IL, and Hawthorne Racecourse! Did you know Cicero is the 11th largest municipality in the Chicago area fueled mostly by early rail traffic that made it the largest manufacturing center in the state after Chicago? Enough history let's get to the ponies! We have 7 races today, not a big card but a good one, which means we can get in, cash some tickets, and get out before dinner!
Today's weather is going to be decent as we have highs in the upper 80s and clouds looming the entirety of today's card. The good news is the humidity will be in the 30% so you won't be soaked just waking up to the window to place your wagers. The track has been set to fast and the turf to firm with a temp rail of 20 feet!
