Lundin Line Best Bets & Stakes Notes

R1: Christian Miss (#4)

Christina Miss is moving up in class for today’s race after finishing 2nd in a photo finish on Sept. 17th at Indiana Grand. She had an impressive rally in that race after stalking from the four path and did earn her highest career Speed figure of 88. Christian Miss opens the day at 9/2 odds.

R3: Tom’s Last General (#5)

In his last race at Belterra on Sept. 15th, a wide stretch run was a bit too wide and lead to a disappointing 6th place finish. Prior to that race, he had two nice consecutive 2nd place finishes (7/26 & 8/21) - both at Ellis Park at 1 mile. While today’s 1 miles race is on dirt, Trainer James E. Baker’s horses over the past year are winning at 43% and ITM at 71% when moving his horses from turf to dirt and at this distance are winning at 22% and ITM at 67%. Tom’s Last General leads today’s field with an average Speed figure of 72 and also brings strong Pace Ratings, leading in early & finish Pace. Jockey Marcelino Pedroza over the past 10 days is winning at 20% and ITM at 63%. Tom's Last General come into the day at 3/1 odds.

R4: [8] Corsidat

Corsidat enter’s today’s 4th race at Indiana Grand leading the field with average Speed of 49, a slight drop form her two consecutive Speeds of 52 to open her career. This will be her first time on the turf, but Trainer Paul Holthus’ horses over the past year are winning at 25% with their first turf race. With Jockey Marcelino Pedroza, Holthus is ITM at 75% and Pedroza over the last 10 days ins winning at 20% and ITM at 63%. Morning Line odds for Corsidat are 3/1.

R8: Hillsdale Stakes

[6] Betsdownletsride

Betsdownletsride moves down in class for today’s Hillsdale Stakes. This 2 yr. old expects to be in the Winner’s circle for a 3rd consecutive time after his first career Win on July 14th where he beat the favorite Kingoftherainbow and his 2nd race, a Win on Aug. 11th in which he earned a 74 Speed figure to follow up his initial Speed of 69. He also leads in early, middle and finish Pace Ratings. When moving down in class, Trainer Cipriano Contreras’ horses are winning at 33%, ITM at 60% with a +79% ROI. Jockey Emmanuel Esquivel, who rode Betsdownletsride to his first Win takes the reigns again today hoping to give Darlene and Herbert Likens a Hillsdale Stakes Win with their young phenom. Betsdownletsride opens the day at 8/5 odds.
