🏇Happy Saturday & National Chicken Fried Steak Day! 🐔🥩
It's closing day which is always sad but if you have a delicious chicken fried steak, and you remember the Breeders' Cup is next weekend, the day will perk up quickly! That's right the end of the road for the Keeneland Fall Meet is here but that means there is a mandatory payout on all pools remaining and we are strongly considering playing the pick 6 today which starts in race five. Today's card has 10 total races, three stakes, two of which are graded, and lottsa runners. We are sad to see this meet end as this is one of the most beautiful tracks we get to witness each year. Today we will see highs in the upper 60s with sunny skies making for a fast track and firm turf. Before we close out the meet here is some history on the track:
Keeneland, founded in 1936 in Lexington, Kentucky, is one of the most storied venues in horse racing. Established as a non-profit track to improve the quality of Thoroughbred racing, it quickly gained a reputation for elegance and tradition. The Keeneland Race Course hosts two annual meets in the spring and fall, attracting top horses, trainers, and jockeys from around the world. Its unique combination of a world-class racetrack and one of the most prestigious Thoroughbred auction houses has made it a central pillar of the sport. Keeneland’s commitment to preserving the integrity of horse racing has contributed to its revered status in the industry, including being named a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
