Happy Saturday! It's May 1st and also happens to be the day we watch The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports! We're talking about the 147th running of the Kentucky Derby, of course! It's been a long time in the making, so grab that Mint Julip and let's check it out.
It's the best card of the year at Churchill Downs: 14 Races, 7 stakes, lotsa runners and features Race 12, the $3 Million Kentucky Derby (G1) presented by Woodford Reserve! If you're not familiar with the Kentucky Derby, it's a one-and-a-quarter mile Grade 1 stakes race for 3 year-old Thoroughbred horses. The Derby is run on a dirt racetrack at Churchill Downs and has a field of 19 runners this year at time of this post.
