We hope this national day's theme extends to our handicapping for today's races in Laurel, MD (& later today in Arcadia, CA, at Santa Anita). First up are the 10 races at Laurel Park, highlighted by three stakes races.
While these aren't graded stakes races, a "fairly" significant graded stakes race is scheduled to run here in the near future. In January 2024, it was announced that the 2025 and 2026 Preakness Stakes would be held at Laurel Park due to major renovations at Pimlico Race Course. The upgraded Pimlico facility is expected to begin hosting the Preakness again in 2027.
