While everyone knows that the length of the Mississippi River is 2,350 miles, we bet you didn't know that today is National Dollar Day, which commemorates the day Congress established the U.S. monetary system in 1786. What better way to celebrate than by giving you folks the opportunity to earn some $$$$ betting on the ponies. Today our Lundin Line heads about 170 miles west of the Mississippi River, just outside Shreveport for a nice 7 race card (4 turf/3 dirt) at Louisiana Downs. BTW - if you're thinking "Hey, isn't Louisiana Downs the track that runs wiener dog races?" Yep, and this year's Wiener Dog Races will be held on Sept. 5th. And should you be in the area, you are welcome to enter your dachshund. (https://ladowns.com).
Conditions for today's races will be firm & fast with temps around 90 & of course that lovely high humidity.
