Detroit is on the road taking on the Baltimore Orioles with Casey Mize taking on Keegan Akin. Mize has an away ERA of 3.58 and a whip of 1.13. Akin comes in with a home ERA of 6.41 and a whip of 1.74. My money is gonna be on the Tigers.
Maybe these Home dogs can get going here as we look at the Pirates taking on the Cardinals. Steven Brault is making his 2nd start of the season. He faced the Brewers last outing and went 4.1 innings and allowed 3 hits and 1 ER and 2 Ks. If we can get the same kind of performance today I feel confident that the Pirates and their 3.07 OBP can get a few runs off of JA Happ and his 8.41 away ERA.
Sean Manaea is taking to the hill against the Cleveland Indians and Triston McKenzie. Manaea comes in with his away ERA of 2.64. McKenzie on the bump has a home ERA of 5.40. Better pitcher in a playoff race… absolutely!
