If you had a chance to listen to our 1st episode of the Turtle sports Podcast you would already have an idea of who our race favorites are... unfortunately these books don’t release Matchups till right before the race. Well, we are going to do something different. We are going to give you our top 5 drivers and a long shot. We will be keeping an eye on what gets released and give a tweet if we see something that jumps out. Nonetheless, our favorite driver is Kyle Larson this week. He has been doing very well the last 2 weeks and momentum has a lot to do with success. For instance Christopher Bell. If you noticed during the Daytona 500 he was ultra aggressive. Pushing harder than he has ever before. Well, a brand new Job in Joe Gibbs Racing will do that. We had our eye on him but not for the road course. I was a little surprised but again noticed his aggressive driving to get to the front. Well, Kyle Larson is right there. Not to mention this is a type of track he favors. Look for him to be near the top the entire race. We are also looking at the top recent championship drivers. Martin Truex Jr is an absolute stud on 1.5 mile tracks. Maybe some recent bad luck has plagued his team but still, he is an elite driver. Of course Kevin Harvick! Let’s be honest it’s not “if” he goes on a run of winning races but “when”. It’s going to happen. To round out our favorite drivers this week isn’t very hard. Again look at past champions. They will have the best cars out there today. They previously had to have the best to beat the best when Homestead was the final race of the season. They know how to run here and they run very very well. So this week here are our top 5 drivers with a long shot added in.
