We won't be taking any walks in the park today as we have too much racing ahead of us, well and it's dumping rain on the West Coast. If you get the chance to get out and stretch your legs today it's a perfect day for it but make sure you have your tickets in before you go! Our second stop of the day takes us North from our first stop but still headed to the south. That's right, we are headed to Hot Springs, AK to play the ponies from Oaklawn Park. We missed posting our plays for the UAE derby but we can get redemption by playing the final Kentucky Derby prep of the day in Race 12 where 100-50-25-15-10 points will be awarded towards the Kentucky Derby Standings. R12 is a $1.5M, 9 furlong route on the dirt for 3 year olds. We have a lot of familiar names in this race so we should see a great race but it will take some effort to find the value and cash a juicy ticket. One race earlier the fillies will try and steal the show in the GIII Fantasy Stakes. This is a Kentucky Oaks prep race where 100-50-25-15-10 points will be awarded towards the Kentucky Oaks standings. Again, a lot of familiar names as the top three finishers from the Honeybee Stakes last month, right here at Oaklawn, will battle again to potentially set themselves apart heading into the final month of prep season.
Today's card has 13 total races, four of which are stakes, and lottsa runner. All races are on dirt at Oaklawn so no reason we should see an excessive amount of scratches as the track is fast. The weather today is typcial for spring in the south, highs in the mid 70s with mostly cloudy skies.
