It's Saturday, May 20th at Pimlico Race Track. It's the second jewel of the Triple Crown. We're talkin' the 148th running of the Preakness Stakes, of course! And we're in for some amazing action: 14 races, tons of runners, 10 stakes, with 6 graded stakes, and features Race 13, the $1.5 Million Preakness Stakes. There's a lot to cover, so let's get started.
If you joined us two weeks ago, you saw Mage make a great run to take the Kentucky Derby and as we get into today's card we have the chance to see another triple crown winner! It nearly 40 years to see another triple crown winner after Affirmed won it in 1978 and now we have a chance to see our third in less than a decade! Will Mage take another step forward and take down 2/3 of the triple crown today or will one of the other horse spoil his chances to make history!? Obvioulsy as we said above that's not the only race we have going so let's take a look at the rest of the stakes schedule as well:

Running conditions will be mixed. We're expecting firm turf, a fast track to begin the day but rain is forecast although it may not affect the card. Temps will be in the mid to upper 70s. with cloudy skies for sure. Because there are so many races, the action is startin' early and the first post is at 7:30 AM Pacific, so set that alarm and don't be late! The Bloody Marys and mimosas will be flowin' if you need extra incentive🍹 The day ends with an Arabian Stakes Race, so make sure you stick around until the end!
