Today marks the end of the 2024 CA State Fair, and with it, the final day of thoroughbred racing at Cal Expo (Harness racing resumes in November). Despite the fact that this track is only 16 miles from the World Headquarters of Turtle Sports (aka, the Glass Turtle in Roseville, CA), we just have not been able to get into a groove in reading these races. However, we hope to go out on a strong note with today's eight-race card (no picks for the quarter-horse race in R1). We also hope trainer Jamey Thomas (& a friend of Turtle Sports) has a great closing day - BOL Jamey (especially in R6😎)
