We are very excited about this weekend's two Derby prep races and one KY Oaks prep. Saturday's G3 Risen Star at Fair Grounds will be the first this season to award 50 points to the winner of this stacked race, with another 20 to the winner of the Sunland Derby on Sunday. Saturday's card at Fair Grounds also includes a 50-point award toward the KY Oaks to the winner of the Rachel Alexandra. Of course, we will have picks and best bets for both cards.
Today, we're chillin' in Arcadia, CA, at Santa Anita Park. Their nine-race card should present plenty of opportunities to make some money. There is rain in the 10-day forecast, but today will be one of those ideal SoCal days - sunny with temps in the 60s.
Fun Fact: While there are no races today in Hot Springs, Arkansas, this day in 1905 was the first thoroughbred race at Oaklawn Park.
