Stop number two today keeps us much closer to home and in what we thought would be a much nicer climate for the ponies today. That's right we are back in Arcadia, CA to play the ponies from Santa Anita racecourse! Today's card has 9 races with the featured race coming in the 8th the San Vicente Stakes. This is a grade 2, 7 furlong sprint on dirt stakes race that was previously a derby prep race. Due to the distance, it was removed from the derby trail but that has not stopped multiple winners of triple crown races from running in this race. We know most of you are out celebrating National Cuddle Day but take a break from the warm embrace and make sure to get those tickets in!
The weather out west is going to be much nicer than our first stop today. We shall see highs in the mid to upper 60s today meaning you will need those sunglasses if you plan to visit the track. Typical for this type of weather we will have a fast track and firm turf so we hope to see limited scratches.
