Today rolls on with more Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series and Kentucky Derby/Oaks prep races as we play the full card from Santa Anita. Just like the other two tracks we have picks for, the winners of the BC races will head a bit further south to Del Mar in four weeks with a guaranteed spot in the starting gate for their respective category while the top five runners of the prep races will receive 10-5-3-2-1 points for their chance to run the first weekend in May at Churchill Downs. Will the winners of these BC races have an advantage already being on the West Coast? Todays card is packed with action as we have 10 total races, five stakes, four of which are graded stakes, and as noted the BC and prep races.
The weather is hot in SoCal as we will see highs in the mid 90s, this atypical for this of year, with sunny skies so don’t forget your sunscreen. There has been no rain in months so we will have a fast track and firm turf today
