🏇Happy Sunday & National Fajita Day!
Get that sizzling platter ready and let's ride out to wine country to play the ponies in beautiful Santa Rosa, CA. Wine and fajitas, sign me up! Today's card has eight races and closes out the racing in wine country. There are no stakes to close out the meet but that does not mean there are no opportunities to build some winning tickets just like building that fajita taco. After today the fair circuit heads north to Ferndale and the Humboldt County Fair. Assael Espinoza is the current leading jockey and has five mounts today to try to hold off the field and win the meet. Isidro Tamayo has dominated the meet and has a hefty lead on the rest of the trainers so we do not anticipate a change here. A friend of Turtle Sports, Jamey Thomas, has only had two horses run today but does have one last runner today.
Today's weather looks beautiful, as we will see highs in the high 70s to low 80s, with mostly sunny skies. The track is fast and the turf is firm as we close out another great meet for the California Fair Racing Circuit.
