The Spa is back! This photo from 1895 shows just how much this illustrious track has grown over the last century a quarter! That's right we are headed to Saratoga Springs, NY for the opening day of Saratoga Racecourse. We have about three months worth of races and we did not want to miss the opportunity to get as many cards in as possible. Today we have 11 races with the featured race coming in the 11th. This is the $175 Shuylerville Stakes and is a six-furlong sprint over the dirt. We will have a ton of great action all summer long from Saratoga so ride with us and cash some tickets.
The weather today is not great. We have seen rain in the area the last few days so we will be off turf to start the meet. Today we will see highs in the 80's with showers off and on. With the rain we will see a muddy track so make sure to find the ones who can either get out on the lead or the ones who don't mind the slop.
