It's Saturday at the Track and we're headed to Florida to watch the races at Tampa Bay Downs. We're in for a great day with tons of action - today's card has 12 races, lots of runners and includes five stakes (four graded):

Make sure to check out Race 11, the Tampa Bay Derby (GII) as it is a Kentucky Derby Prep Race with Derby points (50-20-10-5) awarded to the top four finishers. Classic Causeway (#4) will be entering this race with 16 Derby points already we're thinking he will tack on even more when the day is done - you won't want to miss it!
Running conditions are listed as firm and fast, however it is raining now and shows are expected through right around 1:00 PM (local time). Temperatures will be in the mid-60's and we're hoping the track dries out later in the day.

Runaway Rumour just missed a win on the turf at Belmont in October in the $200K Grade II Sands Point Stakes. The 4 year old daughter of Flintshire followed up that 2nd place finish with a troubled wide trip 5th place at Aqueduct, which went 1 1/16 mi. on turf. That race earned Runaway Rumour a career high Equibase speed of 109. Trainer Jorge Abreu will have Jose Ortiz in the irons as they hope to continue their successful ways. Runaway Rumour will be back on Lasix, and, starting the day with 6/1 Morning Line odds, will be today's Best Value Horse at Tampa Bay Downs. Best of Luck!
