Happy Wednesday & National Arabian Horse Day

Our Lundin Line returns to our 48th State (which, BTW, just celebrated its 113th birthday on Valentine's Day) and the Wednesday racing action at Turf Paradise. While everyone knows that the State Bird of Arizona is the Cactus Wren, we bet you didn't know that notable Arabian horse owners include Napoleon Bonaparte, George Washington, Wayne Newton, Patrick Swayze, and Shania Twain.

And while we don't handicap the Arabians, we do appreciate the unique beauty of this breed. We are also not handicapping Quarter Horse races at this time, so our picks for this 10-race will begin in Race No. 3.

The featured race will come in R7 with the running of the Luke Kruytbosch Overnight S.

Before we get to our picks, here is a little history about the gentlemen this stakes race honors...

Luke Kruytbosch was an American horse racing announcer, best known as the longtime voice of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Churchill Downs. Born in 1961, he began his announcing career in the 1980s and became widely respected for his smooth delivery and deep, authoritative voice.

Kruytbosch called races at various tracks, including Turf Paradise, Hollywood Park, and Ellis Park, before becoming the track announcer at Churchill Downs in 1999. He remained in that role until his sudden passing in 2008 at 47. His voice became synonymous with some of the most memorable moments in horse racing, and he was highly regarded within the industry.

Need help pickin' winners? We've got you covered! Our Lundin Line's - (Always Free) top picks and best bets are below in this post. We use them to help narrow the field while putting our tickets together. The first post will be here soon, so don't be late -

It's time to get #InTheMoney! 💰💰💰

"The origins of the oldest purebred Arabian horse in the world date back thousands of years to the Arabian Peninsula. The Bedouins, tribesmen of Arabia, are believed to be the first to domesticate the Arabian horse, forming a harmonious relationship in times of both peace and war, a horse that is good-natured, quick to learn, and willing to please while also exhibiting supreme endurance and speed. A symbol of military might, cavalry needs led to the spread of the breed around the world. Still, today, the Arabian horse retains all these desired qualities that made it so coveted. The Arabian is also the foundation for many other familiar breeds such as the Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, Morgan, and American Saddlebred."
