I have determined that getting kicked in the teeth is just part of the college sports investor's life. No matter how much research I put in, how well I dig into a team, or how great a game looks down the stretch we still see games simply fall apart. Now, I know me losing is not the same as the team losing, and overall the teams don't care about the spread. However, one of the greatest sayings ever is, "Good teams win, and great teams cover!" This speaks volumes about how a team's mentality is in crunch time if they can follow this mantra. As we get ever closer to the NCAA tournament this will come into play even more as teams try to get the highest seed possible. On the anniversary of Kobe and 8 others passing away, I am looking to find those teams with the Mamba mentality who will help me by helping themselves!
If you listened to The Turtle Sports Podcast, and frankly I am not sure why you aren't, you will know that Pickles and I are dividing and conquering college hoops. I will be taking the Pac-12, WCC, and the SEC along with any other games that interest me. Pickles will be taking the ACC, Big Ten, and Big East because we have futures on some of those teams. We have concentrated on just a few conferences each to narrow down the field. Today I looked at my conferences as well as the Mountain West and ACC. Not a lot of games to choose from but as I try to limit my investments to a few a day this was the best way to do so. Yesterday had one bad push and some user error so I went 2-1-1 for +0.9 units. Just five plays today as I try to limit my action and get back #InTheMoney
