In easily the biggest news of the summer, the Estate of Paul G. Allen reached a formal agreement on July 11 to sell the Seattle Seahawks to an ownership group led by the Khosla family, including tech billionaire Vinod Khosla.
The Price Tag: At $9.612 billion, this completely blows past the previous NFL record set by Josh Harris' $6.05 billion purchase of the Washington Commanders in 2023.
What’s Next: To finalize the deal, the Khosla family must sell their minor stake in the San Francisco 49ers. The purchase is expected to be officially ratified by NFL owners in August.

The annual player-voted Top 100 Players of 2026 kicked off its reveal on July 13, and it immediately sparked a massive debate.
