It's the weekend, so you know what that means: another big-stakes race at the track, and we’re here to help you find the winning numbers! This is our second post on our new site, and we’re happy to report that some of the kinks have been worked out.
On Tuesday, we had only two top-pick winners from our top-rated selections and one second-pick winner. Not our best showing, but it was nice to be back with you all midweek to watch the ponies.
Today we head to Shelbyville, IN, to play the ponies at Horseshoe Indianapolis. We have a strong 13-race card that features eight stakes races and tons of opportunities to cash some tickets. The featured race today comes in the 12th race of the day: the Grade 3 Indiana Derby. This is a 1 1/16-mile route on the dirt that carries a purse of $300K. We started with nine runners, but after a couple of scratches we’re down to seven.
Typically, you do not see the big-name jockeys come to the smaller tracks, but today we have some of the biggest names in the sport, which means this race matters more than the average person might think. Think of it this way: if you love the Kentucky Derby, for the local crowd and horseplayers, this is their Derby Day and the biggest day at this track all year. Days like this happen all the time in horse racing, but most people don’t pay any attention. Here at Turtle Sports, the Lundin Line sniffs these days out and relishes them to help you get into the money.
Today’s weather is wet to start, with highs in the mid-70s, cloudy skies, and thunderstorms. It rained earlier, but as the day goes on it should clear, so we’re hoping for some track changes throughout the day. To start, the dirt is rated sloppy and the turf is rated good, so make sure you check those scratches before you place your wagers.

Happy Indy Oaks & Derby Day & National Mojito & Blueberry Muffin Day!
