We’re giving this a go with our first post on our updated – and hopefully very successful – site! That’s right, Turtle Sports has a new home (same URL), and we’re just as excited as you are to see how this works.

Tonight we’re headed to New Cumberland, WV for our first card on the new site. The Mountaineer program features 8 races: no stakes, but plenty of opportunity to see if this setup performs the way we want. We chose tonight so we can tweak and fine-tune everything in time for the weekend. There’s no official “feature” on the card, but the highest purse comes in Race 5 at $20K – a six-furlong allowance sprint on the dirt for three-year-olds and up who have never won two races. In other words, your horse has broken its maiden but hasn’t found the winner’s circle again. The weather should be pleasant, with temperatures near 80°. All races are off the turf tonight, so expect plenty of scratches. The dirt course is currently rated good, and with no rain in the forecast it could improve as the night goes on.
