Turtle Sports Pre Season Week 2 NFL Power Rankings (Football)

Baltimore and Cincinnati have contender-level talent; Pittsburgh is a high-profile transition team, and Cleveland must find stability.

Baltimore Ravens — Expectation: AFC contender. Missing the playoffs last year does not change the standard with Lamar Jackson in place.

Biggest question: Can Baltimore settle the center position and keep the interior offense functioning at a championship level?

Cincinnati Bengals — Expectation: Return to the postseason and challenge Baltimore.

Biggest question: Does the investment in the defense—especially the edge rush—finally create a complementary unit around the offense?

Pittsburgh Steelers — Expectation: Playoff contention, but with less certainty than usual. A new coaching era and Aaron Rodgers’ final season create urgency.

Biggest question: How quickly do Mike McCarthy and Rodgers establish a coherent, productive offense?

Cleveland Browns — Expectation: Prove that the rebuild has a direction.

Biggest question: Who wins—and holds—the starting quarterback job?

Chicago has the biggest immediate expectations, while Detroit and Green Bay are still dangerous despite health and line concerns. Minnesota’s ceiling depends heavily on continuity and health.

Chicago Bears — Expectation: Division contender and potential NFC heavyweight.

Biggest question: Can Caleb Williams eliminate the inconsistent stretches and sustain elite-level play?

Detroit Lions — Expectation: Bounce back into serious playoff contention.

Biggest question: Can the reworked offensive line stabilize quickly, while key defenders return healthy?

Green Bay Packers — Expectation: Playoff contender.

Biggest question: Who generates consistent pressure while Micah Parsons works back from his knee issue?

Minnesota Vikings — Expectation: Compete for a playoff spot if key players stay available.

Biggest question: Can the team maintain health and continuity— particularly up front—through camp?

NFL power rankings are weekly or periodic lists that rank all 32 NFL teams from best to worst based on their overall strength, current form, and roster quality, rather than strictly by their win-loss record. Analysts use them to evaluate how teams stack up against each other at any given moment.

Pickles Pre Season Power Rankings

The NFL officially returned two Thursdays ago with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, and Week 2 kicks off today. Our team has been working hard day after day to prepare for this moment and give you the best chance to absorb as much free knowledge as possible. This year, both Finky and Pickles will update their power rankings. If you’re new to power rankings, see below so you can compare notes and make informed decisions on which teams to pick week in and week out. We missed last week of the preseason while previewing two divisions with tools Mr. W has put together to help you find more winners before the regular season kicks off, but that won’t stop us from bringing you this information. We’ve got just enough time to get all of the previews out. The power rankings may change slightly before the first game kicks off on September 9, but for this week, there are no adjustments.

AFC North & NFC North Preview from Mr. W powered by AI

This is a camp-opening snapshot: expectations are relative rather than projected win totals, and the “biggest question” is the one camp is most likely to clarify. Roster health, contract situations, and depth charts can change quickly.
