NFL power rankings are weekly or periodic lists that rank all 32 NFL teams from best to worst based on their overall strength, current form, and roster quality, rather than strictly by their win-loss record. Analysts use them to evaluate how teams stack up against each other at any given moment.

Pickles Week 1 Power Rankings

Week 2 is here, and we’re excited for another football Sunday. Thursday night delivered an exciting matchup, as the Bills opened the new Highmark Stadium with a bang, scoring what felt like every time they touched the ball in the first half. The Lions looked rusty early but found their rhythm after halftime and made a game of it—until they didn’t. Neither defense could figure out how to take control, something worth monitoring as the season progresses because both teams project to be playoff contenders.

We have a more traditional schedule this week, with eight games in the early window and five in the late window, followed by the usual Sunday night and Monday night standalone games.

Finky and Mr. W go head-to-head this week as their teams, the Eagles and Titans, square off. When discussing his plays this week, Finky was quoted as saying, “I am fading the Titans until they prove otherwise!” While his fandom hasn’t faded, it’s clear he isn’t a happy fan and won’t be holding his breath for a win—or even a cover—at this point.

Here is our contest breakdown for the year:

  • Splash: three private-league survivor entries and one player-survivor entry (down to 2 survivor)

We also entered a few small contests to add some fun this year, using free play we had available. The Prop Queen player survivor is another interesting contest in which you select one player each week and accumulate fantasy points throughout the season. The catch is that you can select each player only once, with the points adding up as you build a fantasy team and try to score as many points as possible.
