NFL power rankings are weekly or periodic lists that rank all 32 NFL teams from best to worst based on their overall strength, current form, and roster quality, rather than strictly by their win-loss record. Analysts use them to evaluate how teams stack up against each other at any given moment.
Pickles Final Pre Season Power Rankings
Week 3 was a strong one for Turtle Sports, as our crew went a combined 13-2 on the weekâs pickâems while keeping several survivor entries alive.
Finky and Pickles each finished 4-1, bringing both to 9-6 overall. Turtle Sports posted a perfect 5-0 week and improved to 10-5 on the season.
The power rankings also saw plenty of movement. Jacksonville and Pittsburgh made the biggest jump in Finkyâs rankings, climbing four spots each. Kansas City, Minnesota, Denver, Chicago, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and the New York Giants also moved higher.
New England took the biggest hit, dropping 18 spots in Pickles' rankings, while the Chargers, Eagles, Saints, and Ravens also fell following uneven performances.
Pickles has Cincinnati at the top, followed by Kansas City and Buffalo, while Finky keeps San Francisco in the No. 1 spot. The two rankings differ near the top, but both agree that Kansas City, Buffalo, Seattle, and the Rams remain firmly in the contender conversation.
Survivor play was mixed. One Splash Sports entry survives, while only two of seven MyBookie entries remain alive. The Prop Queen player survivor still needs us to hit one of the top players, but we are happy with the consistency as we figure out this new game for us.
College football update: Why was there a game at 1 p.m. Pacific on a Friday? Also, we have to hold the line in the fourth quarter, Temple, because we aren't going to make a corporate-named bowl by giving up leads like this week after week.
